These words have special meaning here at Knox County Homeless Coalition as we reflect on the amazing contributions made to our clients by this generous community. KCHC thrives as the result of a lot of help from our friends.
On June 14, 2017, nineteen executives from around the United States and Europe, in town for a corporate meeting, came with work gloves to lend a hand on a number of projects around the Knox County Homeless Coalition/Hospitality House.
Once again the teamwork of Midcoast Habitat for Humanity and Knox County Homeless Coalition is producing innovative and exciting solutions to some of our community’s most pressing problems. Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, with their Women Build team, constructed the first of hopefully many Tiny Home accessory structures that could become the prototype for expanded capacity for supportive shelter at the Hospitality House in Rockport.
On April 7, 2016, McKayla, 18, and Jason, 20, were married in the field behind the Hospitality House family shelter, with staff among the two dozen guests. McKayla, Jason, and their 2-year-old daughter Hailee just moved into an apartment found for them by their caseworker, Brian.
