One Night Without A Home 2019-November 8!
On any given night here in the Midcoast, Knox County Homeless Coalition (KCHC) is actively working to house up to 160 people who are homeless and to assist equally as many people who have recently been housed—guiding them to gain the skills necessary to maintain long-term housing and independence.
KCHC's 2nd Annual One Night Without a Home is November 8-9, 2019 on the Camden Village Green (between Chestnut Street Baptist Church and the Town Office on Elm Street) to raise awareness through solidarity of the issues surrounding homelessness both locally and globally. This fundraiser challenge supports the work of Knox County Homeless Coalition which serves Knox, Waldo and part of Lincoln Counties.

We ask that each participant commit to raising a minimum of $100 to participate in the "Sleep Out." All participants who raise $250 or more each by November 1 will receive a complimentary T-shirt. Any participant under the age of 18 must attend the "Sleep Out" under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
IMPORTANT: Fundraising is ongoing through November 8, so join a team or create your own team (please note that the term team is inclusive of teams made up of just 1 individual) today! The "sleep-out" begins at 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2018 and ends at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9 and will be held on the Village Green in Camden, ME. Participants are encouraged to stay the entire night, but are not required to do so if they become unable to finish the challenge. We ask that you leave food, money and electronics (other than your own personal cell phone for emergencies) at home and bring only what you can carry in and carry out in one arm load with you, as this is planned to be a "leave-no-trace" event. You should have your ID and critical medical information with you in case of an emergency. Alcohol, drugs, and weapons of any kind are prohibited. We also love pets, but ask that you refrain from bringing any animals to the event. Tents are allowed if you can carry it in and out in one load. Blankets, sleeping bags, and extra layers of warm clothing are encouraged.
Please share on social media including Facebook but please don’t add a “Facebook Donate” button to your post as those donations will come in anonymously and cannot cannot be credited to your team goal.
